You are really well positioned for those target schools. Business schools in general really love military candidates and your being from Kenya will also add a diversity component which should make you even more appealing as a candidate. I would definitely make the most out of your time left in the military, working towards any and all promotions or awards, etc. you can get, particularly in the area of leadership. Additionally, I would make sure I participated in some extra curricular activities where your troop may be involved in the community. Toys for Tots, food drives, neighborhood cleanup, DUI awarness campaigns, etc....whatever it is, the b-schools will be impressed if you had time to go to school, be in the military and also participate in your community. You can also do such activities through your school of course. Also, begin to talk to your superiors about your plans and try to find an officer or two who can write a good recommendation. Military recs will be better than academic recs. The key will be crafting your story in a compelling way that will appeal to the ad coms. if you need help doing this, don't hesitate to contact us.
