Resume. Should I include extracurricular or not? [#permalink] New post 02 Aug 2014, 09:00
For HBS, on the online application, it provides separate section for education and extracurricular activities. Should I include and repeat on resume or not? Fitting all information to one page is really hard.. Please Help!

안녕하세요 Hyun,

It depends. Generally, you don't need to repeat all the details on education on resume (e.g. GPA, course taken or more details) but you should still mention degree name , year and school name on resume. (Try following HBS resume format that you will find on google).

Mention only the most impressive extra-curriculars as it will save you some space.

Good luck for your application.

Remember - most admissions directors view your resume first. Also, for most programs, it's the only part of your application your interviewer gets to see. Your resume should provide an impressive and well rounded perspective on who you are. That means your story needs to come across loud and clear. Whatever that story might be.

So yes, but make sure you have just the right amount of overlap so you're not wasting space repeating yourself. There's a lot to share so I'm sure this won't be a problem :)!
