Retake GMAT? [#permalink] New post 14 Aug 2011, 18:48
I took the GMAT yesterday and scored 720 (Q50, V37). The score I believe is below what I'm capable of. On the practice tests (MGMAT and GMATPrep) I scored between 750 and 780. My target schools are Haas, Sloan, Kellogg, Wharton. Will retaking help? Other relevant information - I belong to the Indian IT pool. I'm female though.

Hi bschool2014,

If you believe you can immediately take the test again and improve your score by 40+ points, then you may want to take the test again. On your business school application, you will only report your highest score, so admissions teams will only focus on your best attempt. You should not be concerned about taking the test again and receiving a lower score. The only downside is the cost of the test.

This being said, your score is strong, so you should not be too concerned if you are not able to raise your score.

Hope this was of help.

Cheers,

Conrad and the Stacy Blackman Team
