I had an interview this week on campus. It was very conversational. Covered the basics, why MBA, why Rice, Leadership. My interview lasted about 45-50mins.

Internationals, how are you guys sending your Transcript Evaluation, Are you shelling out $ for IGPA Evaluation?

I've submitted my application and have an interview lined up. Not sure why this thread is so neglected. I really want to go to Rice for energy and the school overall is really making strides.

I submitted on 10/30 and received an interview invite on 11/1. I didn't expect that quick of a turn around. I didn't even see the email untill the next day because i wasn't expecting to hear anything until after the Round 1 deadline. Hopefully thats good, but who knows.

Please add your names to the Roll call list. I have just created an account for the Rice application. 4 essays to work on and i am yet to start  Rice has now moved up within the rankings quite well. Has anyone attended information sessions, visited college? If so, please share your experiences about the school. I am from India and completed my education in english medium. Do i need to give TOEFL? Thanks, LC

However, I would recommend you to go through the admissions page in business.rice.edu

I submitted my application on Nov 7th. The status changed to "under review" on Nov 10th. I am so hoping that I get through Jones. It's my first choice. Wondering how long would it take to get any response about the application? Posted from my mobile device

There was no change in my status through the application page. It was time stamped at 12:13 CST. I have already visited and met with an adcom member last month, but not for an official interview since I hadn't submitted at the time. I'll being doing a phone/skype interview. Best of luck!

Hi All, I am from India. GPA 3.07. GMAT 690. Work Ex 2 yrs. With good leadership roles in the community. I applied to Rice in the first round and have got interview invitation today. Lemme know if I can help in any way.
Btw, what option would you recommend for interview: phone or Skype? And does getting an interview invite from Rice really mean something or they usually do send an invite to most of the applicants?
