Richest MBAs in the world [#permalink]

Last weekend I stumbled upon the Forbes website while reading some finance related news, and found their list of the World's Billionaires: http://www.forbes.com/lists/2010/10/bil ... _Rank.htmlJust curious to see what these people did for a living, I checked some of them. I saw many MBAs, so I decided to share with you the MBAs of the top 100 of their list, and the business school they graduated from:
| The World's Billionaires, Forbes.com |
| Rank in the top 100 | Name | Citizenship | Business School | Net Worth in Billion USD | | 23 | Michael Bloomberg | United States | Harvard | 18 | | 33 | Steven Ballmer | United States | Stanford | 14.5 | | 36 | Anil Ambani | India | Wharton | 13.7 | | 45 | John Paulson | United States | Harvard | 12 | | 48 | Abigail Johnson | United States | Harvard | 11.5 | | 51 | Susanne Klatten | Germany | IMD | 11.1 |
| 52 | Ronald Perelman | United States | Wharton | 11 | | 62 | Philip Knight | United States | Stanford | 10.2 |
| 63 | Ricardo Salinas | Mexico | Tulane University | 10.1 | | 64 | Ernesto Bertarelli | Switzerland | Harvard | 10 |
| 64 | George Kaiser | United States | Harvard | 10 | | 70 | Alexei Mordashov | Russia | University of Northumbria | 9.9 | | 86 | Kumar Birla | India | London Business School | 7.9 | | 89 | Ananda Krishnan | Malaysia | Harvard | 7.6 | | 93 | Len Blavatnik | United States | Harvard | 7.5 | | 93 | Nobutada Saji | Japan | UCLA | 7.5 |
If you go through the list, you will see many drop outs from college, many from Stanford, many from Harvard. Looks like many found their biggest idea in the classroom and considered not worthy finishing college and made their startup right away.

If you want to compare, you have to go back and forth, you get lost and forget the information you were looking for. Not really convenient for people like us that work with spreadsheets and tables all day long. Somehow we are built to see information in cells and columns. It's much more interesting.

This is actually an interesting way to view business schools. At the very least, the complete list is more enlightening than the EIU rankings.

It's unbelievable that John Paulson has made it into the top 50 richest in the world, and (based on my quick skim down the list) the 3rd wealthiest investor behind only Soros and Buffett. Just 3 years ago, he was a relative unknown!
