There is some problem in the transcription. Choice E should be A and vice versa. ; Such an error does not occur in GMAT.

However, between A and E, we can never call it the dream when we happen to mention it for the first time. We must first call it a dream and then refer to it as the dream, if
required to repeat. It also implies that Robinson has only one dream in his life and that happens to be the dream about Hawaii. Hence A is defective.
