Expecting a big fat ding, I was pleasantly surprised by a WL w/o interview decision on R1 D-day. I got an interview invite today. I see a few more who fit that story line. I can only imagine that they found us competitive enough to call after briefly skimming through R2 apps? Either way, my Ross experience is maturing with age like a fine wine, and I just hope it just keeps getting better! Anyone planning else visiting Ross to interview? Been there once and going again for sure. On a related note, interestingly I was planning on sending them a consolidated set of updates along with an additional recommendation in a few days. Never expected an invite. Wonder if I should hold off till after? Thoughts? D3

It really depends on the person. Personally, I think it is ALWAYS better to interview in person. With Skype/phone, you have lag, which makes it awkward when both of you start the sentence as the same time. It is harder to build rapport, to see the body gestures. I had interviewed people over the phone and in person, and the in person interviews are always more memorable.

Yeah i guess your right but I am in Pakistan and its going to take me weeks to get a visa for on campus or any of the off campus locations plus work commitments ao its a big hassle, so i guess adcom would probably take that into account. I am surprised they dont have Dubai as a hub because that would have still been convenient.

I got my interview invite as well- Anyone have any Ross-specific interview tips? As far as their turn around, I'm pretty sure I didn't have my resume attached until a few days before the deadline, and my GMAT wasn't reported until a day or two before, so I think they are just turbo-charged on their interviews!

There are some mixed stats out there, but I read a quote from Soojin before that roughly 60% of those interviewed are admitted. So depending on how many applicants there are, you can do the math. In any case, if you've been invited to interview it means they like your profile and would like to evaluate your fit with the program. This seems to be a big factor in the ross admission process, so be sure to know the school well and be able to articulate how your character is in line with their culture. Good luck!
