I took GMAT in January 2005. I had a bad day and didn't do well (thats not an excuse because one of my mentor used to say excuses never done a job). I knew even before I finished my exam because during the break after math I was thinking that I didn't do well and lost the interest on Verbal. So, I was going through the motion.
Per my friends advice, I didn't cancel scores and asked to show the scores. Without surprise, my scores were low - 470. (although Q was 40)
Now I am preparing for the second round. The mistake I did in the first exam is that I didn't take any practice test. This time around I am planning to take atleast 7 tests (2PR, 4KP, & 1PP)
If I were to take >650 in my second test, would the admission committee think that I am a poor candidate because I have an extremely poor score in the first GMAT?
