round 1/round 2 timing.. please help! [#permalink] New post 18 Jul 2012, 11:53
If I apply in round 1 for some universities and in round 2 for another set of new universities, wouldn't round 2 decisions take more time to come?

Say I get acceptance letter from an university in round 1, how much time do they give us generally to confirm acceptance? If confirm acceptance deadline is before round 2 decisions are made, then would it make sense to apply in round 2?

thanks

There is a lot of gap between payment deadline for Round 1 and Round 2 applications. So, you will have to prioritize your schools. Otherwise, you should be ready to give up on the initial deposit.

Simple rule is - in Round 1, apply to schools that you definitely want to attend if you got the admission. In the second round, go down the priority list. Good luck!
