I did the GMAT last Saturday and the score was lousy and unexpectedly low - 550. I use Kaplan mostly, some Manhattan Advance Quant - retail books only. The SIM tests I used are from Kaplan as well. I got scores ranged from 500 to 680. Again, my weakest link is the Verbal section - frigging hard and I usually get high 60s to mid 70 percentile on Quant but Verbal section, the max I got from SIM test is 40%. I hate the IR most.

Thanks,
Kenneth

I agree with the other posts, I would not worry about it. As the above post said, the percentiles are always being recalculated. The schools are aware that this is the case. When taking an exam such as the GMAT, it does not matter how fast you answer (unless you are taking too much time), but rather if you got it right or wrong. That is what matters. With that being said it is important to have good time management skills. As the above post said, no one knows for sure, but it is highly unlikely answering a question too fast will affect your score. First I would work on catching up with my verbal score a little. To try and get it to the same ballpark as Quant. Work on some grammar basics, as this will improve all areas of verbal. From here, I would look into a good adaptive course to take. Doing so will help you determine your weak areas in each subject. After determining your weak areas, focus on those and do not move on until you have completely mastered them. If you progress too fast, your lack of basic concepts will hinder

Considering the big improvement you already made in Verbal and the fact that you have 3 weeks left, I would not cancel. I would keep focusing on verbal and get that grade up a little more. In addition, don’t not study Quant because you already have a good score. I would suggest lots of verbal practice with the occasional quant question thrown in to keep you on your toes. If you have any other questions please feel free to ask.

To send scores, it can take about 2 to 3 weeks for them to be received. With that being said, remember, you can send 5 scores free the day of the exam. Anything over 5 or after the exam will cost you per app. If you need further details in regards to this just let me know I’d be happy to help you out.
