1800.
I like solving those in steps:

The next lines are of the following format: # of machines, Minutes, bottles.

6,1,270 (Stated in the question)
2,1,90 (this step makes it easier to calculate)
10,1,450 (another step... almost there.. )
10,4,450*4=1800.

6 machine..270 bottle.. per minute. Hence, one machine produces 45 bottles in a minute.

Therefore 10 machine produce 450 bottle perminute.

and in 4 miutes they produce 450 x 4 = 1800

Ans: B.

hey carsen, you made it in a very easy way.... i had many complications because of work formulas

btw, i know that for 2 machines working together, the work formula is:

Ttotal = (T1*T2)/(T1+T2)

does anybody know where this formula is obtained?

6 machines produce 270 bottles per minute;
1 machine produces 270/6=45 bottles per minute;
10 machines produce 45*10=450 bottles per minute;

In 4 minutes 10 machines produce 450*4=1,800 bottles.
