Hi all,

I'm a recent applicant to the Said Business school. I'm an American male applicant with a 710 GMAT, undergrad gpa of 3.16, with 5.5 years work experience in commercial lending with a large US based bank. I've already been admitted to the MBA programs at UNC and Georgetown, but ultimately I would like to go to school in the UK to gain more diverse networking opportunities and hopefully find a career opportunity abroad after graduation. Does anyone have any insight as to how competitive admissions at Said is compared to UNC and Georgetown or any other US based schools?

Thanks for your help. Fingers crossed I get a positive interview decision in a few weeks!

I fortunately got Dean's Scholarship (nearly full-tuition) from Olin Business School. I have also already applied Said for R3 so I am in a very similar situation as you, dh63396.

I also want to hear some opinions about Top25 US B. Schools vs Oxford regarding job opportunities and education experience.

Please share as much info as you can :)

Hi ee13, congrats on your scholarship! Which Olin would you like us to compare to: Babson or Washington University in St. Louis?

Maybe you should share your profile, experience, goals and what you want in the MBA (location, classmates, activities, clubs etc.) and we could try to help you reason through your choices?

7th Feb (tomo) is when SBS sends their interview invites for R3- very anxious.

Surprised to see the SBS forum inactive. All other school forums are buzzing with updates.

Please share updates once you hear from SBS.

It also might be because it is a smaller intake - 247 last year compared to LBS of about 400 and US schools of over double that.

I think they increase this intake, maybe 270-280 this year!

I believe they will send within a period of 1-2 hours, so as not to give unfair interview preparation advantage to anyone!

Went back and checked my email, and I received my interview invite (for round 1) at about 12:30pm London time. So about 7 hours from now, if the timing is similar between rounds. Of course, that could be purely anecdotal!
