SAT scores and High School GPAs [#permalink] New post 23 Jun 2008, 07:50
Has anyone been asked their SAT scores or High School GPAs in the context of B-School? Either during the admissions process for getting into school, or for a job application? Do banks/consulting firms ask for this?

I hope they don't ask for SAT scores as I didn't take the SAT.

I've been told that some consulting firms might ask for SAT scores. I don't know about the banks.

Would the SAT actually be an evaluation point that is looked at, or would it be more of a data point that is hardly used?

Anyone know if banks ask/care?

Yes, some banks (and consulting firms) do ask for SAT scores either as part of their application or employee information form. I don't know exactly what it is used for, and I'm pretty sure it isn't a big factor in recruiting, but they do ask for it.

High school GPA, no, I've never heard of that being brought up.

Shucks, I was hoping for that one. I feel that my HS GPA would be a good indicator of my success in the investment banking division.
