Yeah, HongHu, I just looked up the dictionary and the use of "sentence" seems fine too.

I don't know. Maybe Paul or Prae can explain.

I have a doubt here...

Although/though are conjunctions and thus they require some clause not phrases.

Please correct me...

While sentences can be shorter or longer, "sentencing", as the action of "awarding sentences", can only be more or less frequent, not shorter or longer.
