E for me...

A is close, but TESTED THAT X and Y part is off, because it's unclear what exactly it was tested for

ummm, I was sandwiched between A and E.

But I picked A, because I thought the sentence does say that an engine is being tested that can propel or can boost..... I mainly picked A for its conciseness

plus I was kind of hesitant with E because it seemed wordy to me saying that
it could have and the possibility of ......

I guess will be waiting for other explainations and OA :-D

, and .... is the incorrect conjunction here. Makes the sentence somewhat stilted and choppy. Distorts the flow.

"that" clearly refers to the "jet engine".

(A) is succinct and clear.

@Apollo: No PC guru here has figured out how to copy and paste a file like that yet.

The OA turned out to be E. But the answer key that comes with the file isnt as reliable as you would like.

Yes, I picked A too and I really wanted to find out the correct answer as to why it was not A and rather E.

Here is a thread and now I get it why it is E
