Crises is plural, so we need plural verb here
Ruleout B.
Ruleout C because the first sentence abruptly ends without any auxilary verb.
Ruleout D because second part of the sentense has modifier misplacement.
Ruleout E because the participle is not needed here. A verb is needed. Or
is it present continuous tense.
