Sorry I had to go to bed so I didn’t have time to expalin

IMO,

(A) The use of ‘which’ is incorrect
(B) Correct! Makes correct comparisons..
(C) “Because of their living nowâ€

IMO, A is right.

1. Correct. Though which looks like a wrong GMAT usage, everything else is correct.
2. Wrong. Ambiguous "they" in sentence ?? I do not see clarity in what exactly "they" refers to.
3. Wrong. "would be mountain dwellers" is incorrect.
4. Wrong. Modifier should be Elk. The "were mountain dwellers" giving it a meaning of the past.
5. Wrong. Wordy and awkward.

A.

They and it in B is not clear. Also it is elk so they is not warranted.

"they" is again mentioned in the second clause...so its obviously referring to the elk.

B is my pick.

the use of which in A is wrong. which is referring to rocky mountain... and changes the meaning.
