B, I don't like the use of "if" here because I don't believe this is a conditional clause. I hesitated between B and D but I'll choose B. Here is my reasoning:

Do we say "doing this... when do-able" as in D or "doing this... when it can be done" as in B?

first of all ,D changes the meaning.

there is a lot of difference between " if " and "when".

A is wrong....because the initial part of the sentence should be followed immediately by the " thing" that is modified..

C corrects the mistake
