Scheduling GMAT exam on the 3rd Week.. [#permalink] New post 09 Jul 2009, 04:28
Hello there,

I was just trying to schedule my GMAT exam date for 15th September but my center has only one time slot..i.e 9:00am and since i am not a morning person i am a bit hesitant to select the time slot. The next available slot is on the 22nd at 1:00pm which suits me better.
I have heard from people that its always better to take the exam in the middle of the month rather than the first or last week since the bins get refreshed every 20 days. Anythoughts or suggestions on this would be really appreciated. Also whether 22nd (3rd week) would be a good time for taking the exam.

All the best.

I wouldn't put too much concern there.

You can't know what questions are scored questions vs what questions are sample questions the test writers are gauging for use.

Also, the rotation of the question banks shouldn't affect your score.

I agree with mohater.

Refreshing of the question bank should not have any effect on your scores. How would it make a difference if you DID take the exam in the beginning or towards the end of a month?

Good luck :)

I think officially, the GMAT gets refreshed every 30 days.
I have not heard any theories about taking the exam in the middle of the month but would be interested to hear them.

Don't worry about this, issue is so sensitive and so hard to predict that I can't even figure it out. Instead, you should focus on timing of your exam - morning or noon - depending on which type of person you are - an early bird or a night hawk.
