Are you for real?

You started this, they ask you for evidence to back up your claims, and now you are starting to balk? You should send it if you have any plans of going to NYU, because if you don't you come across as some sort of charlatan. If you want to go to Columbia, it is really up to you, but all they are asking is for evidence to support your claims. Otherwise people could phone up and say "I got 40k at Wharton" and they throw money after a liar.

I am sorry, but the current influx of asinine questions where one iota of common sense would apply rather than consulting some interweb forum is becoming really tiring. Coming soon - "I got an invite to interview? Is this a positive sign?"

3underscore, funny :D

Questions is simple, if NYU does give you money, will you choose NYU over CBS? If not, then you're just wasting everyone's time. I highly doubt NYU is gonna give you a full ride just because CBS gave you some money.

Is it common to bargin with schools? I also get two admissions, School A with some $. These two schools are just around the same in ranking and location. But I like the weather of B better. Should I bargin with B using the offer A gives me? Any one have have suggestion? Thanks.

I think a lot of this is true. I'm sort of going through a similar process myself, and yes, it's possible you can get more money.

Send NYU what you got from Columbia. I agree with 3underscore. This seems really obvious. If you're at all interested in NYU giving you more money, send them whatever they ask for. Otherwise, don't waste their time (and yours).

Was I the only one that thought the OP was just wondering whether a print-off/photo-copy of his acceptance letter/award notice would be enough document proof for NYU, seeing as it could be easily manipulated and edited through Photoshop, etc.?

Maybe I also can't imagine anyone actually maliciously considering the question it seems we're assuming the OP is asking.

That's why I want you to get in to CMU.... I never thought about it this way. I thought he didn't want to tip his hand. To be perfectly fair, I just told one school the amount the other offered, and they took it on its face. Adcoms can talk to each other, although I don't know if that's standard practice.
