My friend has the following profile

GMAT 570
Work EX - 2 years IT, 2 years family business
Academics : Good
Extra curr : Below average

He does not have the time to re-take gmat given the deadlines.
We are confused on what schools should he apply to.. He is from India and wants
to specialize in marketing..

Some of the schools we are looking at are:
buffalo
Fordham
RIT
Howard
Pace
California State:Fullerton
Babson

Could you please suggest his chances of getting through these and any other schools for the same if possible and if these schools are ok, considering the time and money to be invested?

Hi gmatmr,

Thanks for posting. Attending business school is an important decision (certainly there is a considerable investment financially and with your friend's time). I believe the best course for him at this time would be do seriously consider what his goals are post-graduation, and then to spend time speaking to individuals at each school (through the career center, recruiting events, etc.). This process should not be rushed.

You listed some strong programs, however again I want to encourage your friend to spend due diligence in identifying his goals and in researching business schools. He may also want to consider retaking the GMAT test again.

Hope this was of help.

Best,

Conrad and the Stacy Blackman Team
