Accepted to Schulich and Ivey. Based on my research I think I will be attending Ivey. Im sure both schools have their Pros/Cons, I think i would do better in the Case Base Method based on my personality :)

Good Luck everyone who is still waiting.

684 is the size of the school. i.e. number of students enrolled including full time, part time, second and first year. So if ad com said its 350 it sounds very reasonable and in line what businessweek reports.

hey guys...I just wanted to chime in and say I will be joining Schulich in Fall 2013. So far I have only applied to Rotman and Schulich with admits from both. Cheers!

No scholarship from Rotman and none from Schulich either. However, Schulich only publishes scholarships in Feb-Mar.

hmm sucks about Rotman. I'd choose Schulich as well in your position, Rotman's tuition really pushes down your ROI

Hey echelon99, with Rotman, you really need to set aside CAD150k and I wasn't too excited about that. I know that at Schulich I will get the same quality education and networking opportunities as I would at Rotman for a whole lot less. Also I'm looking at Media/Marketing & Analytics and this is one of Schulich's strengths. I didn't apply to Mcgill because of the location. In terms of networking, being in Toronto itself makes things much more easier unless you're planning on finding a job in Montreal itself.

Hey guys, I had a question regarding the academic requirements. The York MBA website states:

"An undergraduate degree from a recognized university with at least a B average in the last two full years (or equivalent) of academic work."

So does that mean they look at the GPA of your last 2 full years of academic work, and not necessarily the last 2 full years of your undergrad degree?

I think you're interpretation makes sense but it won't hurt to shoot a quick email to adcoms if this is something to be concerned about.

Generally how long, after the submission of application, does the admission committee take to tell us if the applicant has been selected for an interview?

I've been told by former applicants that it can take anywhere from 4 - 8 weeks after they have received your complete package. keep in mind that a 'complete package' includes official transcripts.

So the scanned copy of the transcripts won't do?

I'm not sure, Arjun. The importance of the 'complete package' was highlighted to me multiple times by both Rotman and Schulich. In fact Rotman does not even let you upload scanned copies.

Not sure how the scanned copies will fit into Schulich's selection process. Even if they start reviewing the application with the scans, you can add 2-3 weeks to the 4-8 mentioned because of the Christmas break. I know, the waiting sucks.

Hi echelon99
Thanks for the update. I have sent the official transcripts to the college, just to be on the safe side. They should get in 2 days.
Thanks for the reply. Appreciate it :)

No problem.

You probably did the smart thing and sent them by courier. My uni would only send them by regular mail. Over a month since they have been posted and they have still not reached any of the unis :S

Anyway, good luck!

4 - 8 weeks is about right.
