"that" seems to modify "spine" and hence option E looks better.

[Reveal] Spoiler:
I think "a condition of" is probably redundant. "throwing" and "that throws" are pretty much the same to me.

I think E is too wordy.

In B, "that" is supposed to modify spine. The abnormal curvature seems to be an adjective of the spine.

Also, E does not fit well in the context of the whole sentence.

Scoliosis,a condition of an abnormal curvature of the spine throwing the body out of line, can cause heart and lung problems as well as physical deformity.

The verbs "Throwing" and "cause" do not make logical sense.

I hope I am clear enough.

I narrowed to B and E. I found (E) to be awkward and hence picked (B).

Scoliosis is a condition. That eliminates B and D
A uses when. There is no time reference. OUT

Between C and E is tough.

c) a condition of the spine curcing abnormally and in which the body is thrown out of line
e) a condition of an abnormal curvature of the spine throwing the body out of line

a condition of the spine
a condition of an abnormal curvature of the spine ----> i think this is change of meaning.

If someone can explain C and E that be awesome.

B

A) Incorrect bcoz curving of the spine throws the body out and not the condition itself ..
C) Incorrect bcoz it changes the meaning a bit and is wordy
D) Incorrect bcoz where is used for location and not for conditions
E) Incorrect bcoz it changes the meaning a bit .. condition of curvature or spine or just a condition?

Acc3ss, good explanation. For the same reasons, I was able to close in on B.

I opened the dictionary for the meaning :
Scoliosis (noun) : An abnormal lateral curve to the vertebral column
Sorry I thought Scoliosis is a condition LOL. Lets do it again

Scoliosis,a condition when the spine curves abnormally and throws the body out of line , can cause heart and lung problems as well as physical deformity
a) when the spine curves abnormally and throws the body out of line >> when needs time reference
b) an abnormal curvature of the spine that throws the body out of line>> Answer
c) a condition of the spine curving abnormally and in which the body is thrown out of line >> not parallel
d) where the body is thrown out of line by an abnormal curvature of the spine >> where needs geographical location. "by" is passive
e) a condition of an abnormal curvature of the spine throwing the body out of line >> change of meaning
