I scored a 490 in gmat.
The break up of marks is quantitative-40 and verbAL 18 .
was really disappointing.I have put in 3 months of preparation. My practise scored were

Test 1-580
test 2:-560
test3:-540
Gmat prep-520

I read the OG 13 and also all the Manhattan guides .What should i do differently?

Sorry to hear that. You said you read OG13?

Well, I hope you didn't simply just skim through it.

Doing well on the GMAT is largely dependent on your thinking process - and rigorously reviewing your mistakes to understand them in the context of bigger picture frameworks - at least that's the way we do it.

Take one of your practice exams as an example - try to review one as thoroughly as possible. Then retake it.

Here's how you should approach it:

"Since I already took this exam before (most of the questions may be similar)---I know this stuff. Therefore, I really should be getting an 800 on this retake."

--If you can prove to yourself that you really understand your mistakes - you'll develop a lot more confidence and confirmation that you've actually mastered certain concepts and can move on.

So see if you can take this first step - and post back here saying that you did!
