Scored a miserable 560 in GMAT.. [#permalink]

Gurus,
I took GMAT yesterday and scored a miserable 560

Quant: 45 (77%)
Verbal: 23 (31%)

I am sure that I need to improve the score to get in to U of M. Please suggest some ways to improve my verbal score.
The verbal questions were not too bad.. except that I didn't have enough time to finish them in time. I got a bit tensed and hurried through the questions. One of the reasons i think is taking the exam in the afernoon. I took it at 3 PM.. I lost concentration while doing the verbal section.

hey, i had the exact same score as well as breakup in my first attempt. my seconf attempt got me 640..46 Q, 31 V....i will try again.....u know one problem with verbal can be that since it appears at the end of the test, u may be tired and lose concentration. u may otherwise perform well on verbal questions. so this time whatever prep material u may pick up, do lay special emphasis on sitting and doing the test completely, for a number of times.....

1000 series, og 10 or 11 or both, PR verbal workout and kaplan verbal workout , kaplan 800 are sufficient..i guess.....do stick aroung gmatclub verbal discussions...u will be much better next time.... :-)
