Scored only 530...Now how to get 600?.. [#permalink] New post 09 Mar 2013, 06:50
Hello all,

I wrote the gmat in August and got 430(dont remember,23)...I went crazy for a few weeks..then I slogged for 2 months and wrote again in Jan and bagged 530(38,23)...But again I need atleast 600 for the colleges I am applying to. I am an average student and need a lot of work to be done in verbal...Now I am finally trying to give the exam in a month's time. I need advise on how to achieve 600. I have never improved from 23 in verbal...I remember that I could not complete the last 10 questions in verbal, I just clicked and went ahead. So I know timing is an issue for verbal. Now the problem is that..I am burned out.I have been studying nearly for a year now and I am not even cracking 600...I dont feel like studying at all..I have a month more for the exam..I am trying for UNCC..Average gmat is 600..

Can someone help me out and tell me what should I be doing..Also I usually take only 5 practice tests before the real exam. Shoud I take more?..I think I lost that drive to do this.. :( ..Help appreciated..!!!...Can someone tell me what should I be doing this whole month.. This will b my last try on gmat...

Cant comment about quant but to improve Verbal start reading stuff such as The economist,WSJ(will help for RC) and do read the comments(Will help for CR).
Also, since u have only a month left, download gmatprep question banks after u have finished giving both the exams atleast twice and daily solve questions from those sources.U will surely see a improvement in ur verbal score!

Thanks,

Hey don't lose hope.... I have given GMAT once and scored 650.... For improving verbal start making notes.... That will definitely help and do revise the notes..... Kaplan verbal workbook is good ..... After that do the official verbal workbook ..... I hope this would be enough to improve the verbal scores
