Scores Kaplan 2003/2007? [#permalink] New post 04 Dec 2006, 02:00
Everyone his reporting his Kaplan CAT scores. But I have noticed there is a discrepancy between the tests from the CD 2003 and the ones from CD 2006/2007. I think the difficulty is the same, but the scores from 2006 are computed higher, about +50 points. That means that on the average, I scored between 550/590 with CD 2003, and scores about 640 with CD 2006(I mixed both tests - otherwise it could have meant my level was higher with 2006).

Have you noticed the same? That makes difficult the comparison between scores if the CD's year is not mentionned. And I think there are still many using 2003 because they report the score of the diagnostic, which doesn't exist in CD 2006.

I just wanted to know what difference do you guys note between your Kaplan scores and gmat prep scores? Where and why, if any?

I took online cat and my scores were always higher than my gmat prep. I think that your experiences would be the other way round!

I've done the one free online diagnostic test and got 720, which is 100 more than the regular kaplan cats scores. And math was indeed easier.
