Hello,
After I conduct a search using the upper right search-box, the browser memory consumption starts to rise to no end.
Even if I navigate away from the search results, the browser still takes some 900-1500mb (!!) of RAM. only closing it and re-opening free the RAM.
I'm using Firefox 5.0.1 on Win7-64bit with SP1.

Interesting....

that's a google search box. Not sure why it would cause that. The page is very lightweight. Let me check.

I've noticed that the problem doesn't occur on IE8 or on other computers with FF.
After a deeper analysis I found the cause - a local Greasemonkey script that runs on my computer and does some magic on Google pages. It tried to do the same on the search page (powered by google) and got into some loop. That brought the memory consumption up.
