Just got accepted at Vanderbilt... I didn't get any scholarshp money..though i would have been surprised if I got any...
Anyways..are there any vandy admits going to the welcome weekend? I think I'm going to go to help me make a decision..
This concluded my admission season..I had a horrible start with a rejection from Notre Dame.. but bounced back w/ Georgia Tech and Vandy.. yeah!

Congrats!
If I remember correctly your GMAT was not that great, so please let me add:
a) Extra congrats.
b) Maybe you can share your story with the guys struggling over there at the GMAT forums and show the evidence of what can be achieved. I know it should help a few of them.

Good Idea.. In fact, my GPA wasn't great either..2.98...and I come from an over represented ethnic group.. I'm actually going to re-take the GMAT before enrolling...just in case recruitors ask for it... plus I feel I'll do better in a relatively 'no pressure' situation..
Jchen - I'm leaning towards Georgia Tech at this point..but I'll have to do some additional research..
PS..I just came back from Atlanta...I saw two black crowes acoustic shows in really small venues...It was incredible!!
Thanks Everyone!!

So the your GMAT score hardly played a part in you getting accepted? amorica wrote: PS..I just came back from Atlanta...I saw two black crowes acoustic shows in really small venues...It was incredible!! Thanks Everyone!!

amorica,
I read in another thread that you were discussing the GT vs. UIUC. Did you receive and admit there as well?

Hey squali83..
Haven't been admitted their yet... but I was thinking about throwing in a last minute hail mary application... I liked the proximity in the midwest...The director called me and mentioned that there were spots still available..so feel like I might have shot..

Well, now this puts you in another dilemna. You have to choose which school. At least it's a lot better than worrying about if your going to get in or not.
Congratz again!!!!

Just bought my plane tickets for Vandy's Welcome Weekend. I would definitely suggest checking out Southwest as Nashville is one of their main hubs and you can usually find some great deals.

I'm actually from Alabama, so thankfully the drive to Nashville for me is only about 2 and half hours...
