Hi VeritasPrep!

I'm applying to USC 3rd round.
I've already applied to several programs 2nd round (Georgetown, BU, UCI, SMU). I waited for 3rd round for USC because it is my top choice and I wanted the chance to improve my GMAT score.
I've retaken the GMAT and scored 640. I realize that it is in USC's range but just barely. The question is-- do I retake the test again or not? The reason I am hesitant is I wonder if I did worse AND the schools I already applied to saw it, could it hurt my chances of getting in to them?

Thanks in advance!

My profile:
undergrad: UT Austin, BS degree, 3.33 GPA
experience: 3 years in fashion industry in New York. Ran marketing for major designer, definitely have managerial and leadership experience.
goal: to work for Disney in marketing.
defining qualities: my goals are completely in line with what USC offers, I feel I would fit in with the students very well, I'm from Europe but have a US citizenship, I'm enthusiastic about USC above all else and that will come across in my essays, and I'm creatively focused and offer a more colorful perspective than most applicants.

Doing worse won't hurt your chances at the other schools to which you have already applied. Schools are good about only considering your best score, so that is not a worry. The question is, what is your confidence level in getting a higher score? If you have adequately prepared, you are likely getting a score in the range of where you will score again. If for some reason you took the test without being adequately prepared and feel that you can improve, then it would be a good idea to take it again. short answer--there really is no risk in taking it again.
