Hi guys was wondering if anyone could explain this one:
In her 26 years in the forests of Gombe, Jane Goodall collected data that proved that chimpanzees exhibit the kind of curiosity so that new patterns of behavior and expression can be passed on from each one to others by imitating and practicing.
A. Exhibit the kind of curiosity so that new patterns of behavior and expression can be passed on from each one to others by imitating and practicing B. will exhibit the kind of curiosity so that new patterns of behavior and expression can be passed on from one to another by imitating and practicing. C. will exhibit the kind of curiosity so that new patterns of behavior and expression can be passed on from one to another by imitation and practice. D. exhibit the kind of curiosity by which new patterns of behavior and expression can be passed on from one to another by imitation and practice. E. exhibit the kind of curiosity where new patterns of behavior and expression are passed on to others by imitation and practice.

I will go with C.
i prefer "so that" to "where and by which" and "imitation and practice " to " imitating and practicing"

In her 26 years in the forests of Gombe, Jane Goodall collected data that proved that chimpanzees... I agree with 'D'. D) exhibit the kind of curiosity by which new patterns of behavior and expression can be passed on from one to another by imitation and practice. 'will exhibit' is incorrect because it implies something that is going to happen... this is not the case here, since the data is giving information about something that happens. 'Imitation and practice' is definitely better than 'imitating and practicing'.

I'll vote for D A. Exhibit the kind of curiosity so that new patterns of behavior and expression can be passed on from each one to others by imitating and practicing - out for using "so that" and "each one to others"B. will exhibit the kind of curiosity so that new patterns of behavior and expression can be passed on from one to another by imitating and practicing. - out for using "will"C. will exhibit the kind of curiosity so that new patterns of behavior and expression can be passed on from one to another by imitation and practice. - out for using "will"D. exhibit the kind of curiosity by which new patterns of behavior and expression can be passed on from one to another by imitation and practice. - Correct E. exhibit the kind of curiosity where new patterns of behavior and expression are passed on to others by imitation and practice. - out for using "where new ...."

'Imitation and practice' is definitely better than 'imitating and practicing'. Agree with D. One more thing to add is in E - "...where..." is a wrong word choice.

Guys... IMO E "behavior and expression" has been proved to pass.....hence "can be" does not seems correct... also "by which" seems awkward.... Whats the OA? and the source??

IMO, D
"exhibit" or "will exhibit"? > here the sentence refers to chimpanzees' constant feature. Thus "exhibit"
"from one to another" or "each one to others"? > "from one to another" is correct idiom
"by which" or "where"? > you cannot use "where" other than reference to places in GMAT. thus, "by which"
