Hi - you guys run an awesome forum. My first post:

I came across this sentence in a Sentence Correction exercise :

Jane usually is on time

My initial reaction was, this is correct. But, the correct answer is actually Jane is usually on time.

And another one
He accepted the responsibility, despite his not having understood the implications - this was marked correct.

Can someone explain why?
