SENTENCE CORRECTION STRATEGY [#permalink] New post 15 Jun 2004, 20:20
This message is for those who have taken the gmat and had a good verbal score,
I want to find out your strategy for the SC. I am reviewing the Kaplan Verbal WOrkout book and have been answering the practice questions. I scored about 50% correct for the practice questions. I want to increase my score more.

Please provide me with some feedback on how to increase my score further. I made progress by having an error log. I want to have at least 90% correct answers before I take the exam.

Thanks.

A solid mastery of English grammar is the real key to a high SC score. If you're not strong on grammar, get Grammar Smart; it covers all the key grammar rules.

I also would get a better verbal prep book with questions that are more like the real thing. Princeton Review's Verbal Workout is excellent, and of course the Official Guide has realistic SC questions as well. Try different materials and you will likely see a difference in your score.
