how come "themselves" is not confusing in option B? what's wrong with E and how can we be certain that "themselves" has a clear referant and is not describing either families or allergies?

C is wrong because of the which I believe, in my opinion when referring to people it should be who or whose correct me if I am wrong.

Also which is almost always preceded by a comma

E is wrong because a family which there are allergies

kind of ambigious, we are trying to say families who have allergies not familes where there are allergies, what does that mean? do they have allergies or are allergies just around them?

You mean that the problem with A is that "themselves" is refering to "a child", and that does not match so is incorrect?

what is wrong with D....???...I find D to be more appropriate because "probably" is modifying "develop" and therefore is adjacent to it which is not the case in B . Can someone explain...??

In D "where" is not a good modifier of families.

In B, couldnt i "themselves" refer to either children or members? could anybody clarify?

And what's wrong with C? I dont see any problem saying "a family the members of which bla bla bla".

Thanks in advance!!

Answer is B:

children born into families whose members have allergies will probably themselves develop allergies
child or family will not match with themselves which is plural..
