Dear all,

I have 7+ years of experience in project management( construction+ piping+ electrical) with oil & gas sector. Now i want to change my profile from people management to strategy management. With the huge previous experience in energy sector, I like to continue in oil & gas sector or like to continue in the same function but with a broader role.

Can you please suggest the best for me.
My GMAT score is 710( Q=50, V=35).

thanks in advance.

regards,

It is difficult to provide options with such minimal information. You might want to provide more information.

Our simple advice is to go to the best business school possible. Don't get carried away by the sectoral rankings. For instance, you might be tempted with a school in Texas which is the hub of oil & Gas sector. There is nothing wrong with that school. But, if you are capabale of going to a better school, I would suggest you to take that route. I would avoid selecting a school based on such narrow parameters. Moreover, you might be interested in Oil & Gas today. But, you might develop interest on something else when you are exposed to other opportunities during your MBA.

Our experience shows a top school can open doors to top companies in any sector. Speak to few students and alumni in few top schools so that you understand their experience.

Good luck!
