Shawn Berry... [#permalink] New post 23 Nov 2009, 08:06

Welcome

My name is Shawn Berry, I've twice earned a perfect 800 on the GMAT-CAT, and I can help you cut your GMAT errors in half so that you can score 650, 700, or 750 -- typically 50 to 200 points higher than you can with any other GMAT preparation.

For example, my client Josh first went to Kaplan for GMAT prep, but he only scored 540. Then Josh took my 1-1 GMAT preparation. In two months, I helped Josh score 710, which helped him gain admission to Stanford GSB. Josh told me that my GMAT preparation made the entire 170 point difference.

Since 2003, I've helped my 50 GMAT prep clients improve by an average of 120 points. I’ve helped Josh and 28 other clients breakthrough into the 700’s, including several clients who started with GMAT scores in the 500's. Personally, I’ve had more than a dozen clients tell me that I was their “best math teacher”, “best English teacher”, or “best teacher ever”.

But not only have my clients excelled with my GMAT prep, they have matriculated at these Top 15 MBA programs: Stanford (6), Wharton (5), Harvard (4), Kellogg (3), Duke (3), UC Berkeley (2), UCLA (2), MIT (2), Michigan (2), Virginia (2), Cornell (2), Chicago (1), Columbia (1), and INSEAD (1).

Overall, the majority of my GMAT prep clients score in the 700’s, matriculate at Top 15 MBA programs, and earn $100,000+ base salary upon graduation. I will explain how you can do likewise.

First a warning, neither a Top 15 MBA nor Shawn Berry’s GMAT Preparation is for the lazy or non-strategic. Throughout this website, I challenge you to think strategically as I present evidence that proves that earning your personal-best GMAT score dramatically improves your likelihood of being accepted to a Top 15 MBA program. Then I will substantiate that I am the only person fully-qualified to help you earn your personal-best GMAT score.

So let's get started with how the Top 15 MBA programs prepare their graduates to increase their career earnings by $1,000,000 to $10,000,000.

Cost-Benefit Analysis

Throughout this website, we've used strategy to (1) look forward and then (2) reason backwards. Specifically, to attend a Top 15 MBA Program, your #1 obstacle is simply being admitted and a 700+ GMAT is typically expected.

As described, I am the only GMAT teacher who offers world-class GMAT knowledge and who guarantees I'll answer every GMAT question in 1 minute (Monkey-See) so that you'll have twice as much time, 2 minutes, to answer it (Monkey-Do). In contrast, the competition is half-qualified and cannot help you earn your personal-best GMAT score. There is no substitute for me teaching you the GMAT.

Accordingly, Shawn Berry's GMAT Service costs $10,000, pay-as-you-go. Each of our first ten Test-Perfect-Review® iterations is $1,000 and our last five iterations are free. All of your instruction is 1–1, just you and me.

Some people readily understand that having me as your GMAT teacher is a unique competitive advantage in an admissions process where only 10–20% of students are accepted. If that's you, great. Here is my contact information.

Other people have a different reaction, a knee-jerk reaction - "That's expensive".

But smart business people don't make an important career decision based on a knee-jerk reaction. Instead, smart people follow David Ogilvy's advice that "The best way to set a budget is to analyze the task." So let's analyze your GMAT task with a cost-benefit analysis on Shawn Berry's GMAT Service.

The full cost of Shawn Berry's GMAT Service is $10,000 and 150-200 hours of study. Initially, you may think that this is a huge investment in your GMAT preparation. Actually, $10,000 and 150+ hours is just 4% of your MBA cost of ~$250,000 and ~4,000 hours of study.

The potential benefits of Shawn Berry's GMAT Service are: that you cut your GMAT errors in half and thus score 700+; that you gain admission to a Top 15 MBA Program; and that you increase your 30-year post-MBA career earnings by $1,000,000 to $10,000,000. Chart 9

So now ask yourself: if a $10,000 GMAT investment can be the difference in your gaining admission to a Top 15 MBA Program, is it worth doing?

He's an interesting person from everything I've read from him and about him online. I truly find it interesting that last year, Stanford dinged every 800 score that applied there. So while it's great, it's certainly not everything, and just because HE scored 800 doesn't mean he can teach someone else to score 700+. Teaching and scoring are very different. Tiger Woods is the best golfer ever to have lived, but does this mean he could teach me to be a PGA pro? Maybe, maybe not.

The most important thing in selecting a teacher / tutor is how that person relates information to you. Can you grasp it? Does the person have patiences to work with you on things you don't catch quickly? Is the person there because he/she loves to teach or because he's/she's getting $10k from you?

$10,000 for a course? That's asking quite a bit.
