I find it difficult to agree that its because Prashant got the easier questions wrong because you dont get a pre-decided set of questions with random difficulty. I dont think GMAT has a concept of easier/difficult questions, instead it rates you after your answer to each question. Each time it gets an answer from you it re-adjusts its rating. In the beginning, it will do more drastic re-adjusting because it has no idea, but towards the middle, it could give you a second chance. This is what I observed from my MGMAT tests, but GMAT could be different.

Yes, making alot of mistakes in the 1st 10 doesn't mean that its the end of the world (or a Q50), but it must have brought down his rating and he had to spend more time bringing it back up. In your case, after 5-6-7, it is possible that the score went down to say something like a Q44 and the next 11 consecutive correct answers brought you to Q50 level and hovered there till the end. The examples of the ratings I gave is just speculation.

Again, I am no expert but this is what I noticed from MGMAT analysis. I will post a couple of them.

Ultimately, such analysis is not of much use since you never try to make mistakes, it just happens and you cant help it if it happens in the 1st 10 or last. I used it to just manage the time, in case the test becomes difficult :)

Haha, my time management skills have definitely gotten better. I used to finish the Verbal section with like 15-20 minutes left, and make stupid mistakes that brought my Verbal score down. This time, I made mistakes on HARD SC and CR questions with only two wrong in RC, which is usually my devil. I found that slowly reading the passage and actually jotting down like a few words about the main idea/purpose of passage, author's attitude and structure helped. I'm working on finishing the OG so I can possibly bring my score up a little more :)

finishing V with 15-20 minutes left is something I cant even imagine, honestly. It must be a record or something :). I used to finish Hardy boys when I was a kid within an evening, but that's only like 140 odd pages and that's only because there aren't as many characters as, say, Frederick Forsythe's books and I dont have to answer questions about the story :P. Tell us about your timing during the real GMAT. A few more people like you and GMAT will increase the length of the passages and decrease the time to 1 hour.

LOL. It took me a few minutes to figure out what you meant by your analysis, but yeah. I usually finished it in 15-20 minutes, but now I've decided to use that time to work on questions where I might be unsure and actually arrive at an answer instead of guessing and moving on.

from your second attachment I can not understand how you get 99% ( I guess you scored Q51) with mainly 600-700 level questions?
I am not envy :) I am very corious about how one can receive 51 in Q having only 600-700 level questions.
I s it posible for real life test?

I think its some sto0o0opid bug in the software that MGMAT used, haha... though I am not sure.
It could also mean that since I got pretty high scores in the tests, they might have run out of 700-800 level questions so started shooting me the left-over 600-700 level questions.
I got 51 in MGMAT 4,5 and 6. Let me check the statistics for them

#Edited 1 - Yes, I think they did run out of questions because in the 4th test, there were alot of 700-800 but kept decreasing from 5th.

I think this is the most plausible explanation :)

I wish I could come let say 31st janury to a test center in India, and have only 500-600 questions, becuase questions of higher difficulty were run out by previous tes-takers :lol: :lol: LoL
