Should a startup be listed as hobby or employment [#permalink] New post 20 Mar 2013, 04:46
I am a fulltime employee in a firm. While working full-time, I founded a start-up, which received funding from investors. Since the dates of employment are parallel, should the start-up experience be mentioned under extra-curricular activity?

I am mentioning the start-up experience in my resume, but under employment section of the application I am not sure whether it should be mentioned?

Thank you for reading.

Most applications are pretty clear that they only want full-time employment listed in that section of the application. Would you say you worked on the start-up full-time? If so, I'd list it. If not, I'd list it under "activities" and on your resume.
