I graduated in 2002 from a top 20 liberal arts college. I earned a 3.48 GPA majoring in economics and have scored 710's and 720's on my last 5 full-length practice tests.

I have a year's work experience in technology market research and another year as an operations analyst. I plan on getting two more solid years of experience before attending B-school in Fall 2006. Assuming I am able to enjoy continued career success and score a 710 on my GMAT, do you think my GPA and mere 4 years' work experience would be detrimental enough to keep me out of the following schools:

MIT-Sloan
Dartmouth-Tuck
Virginia-Darden

Thank you in advance for your guidance.

Good profile. With a 3.5 in Econ, 710 on the GMAT and 4 years of solid experience you should have a good shot at those schools. To answer your question directly, no your work experience and GPA wouldn't keep you out of those schools. The GPA is close to the mean (if not above) at those schools and four years work experience is enough to prove yourself to any of the top schools.
