should I retake the GMAT? [#permalink] New post 09 Aug 2004, 13:32
I just took my GMAT and scored a 700 (90%M, 77% V, 4 AWA)

I am shooting for the top 5 bschools.

I went to a middle Ivy (not Harvard, Yale or Princeton) where I had a 3.4.

I worked in finance for 3 years and now work in consulting

Does anybody have suggestions about what I should do? Also, any insights on how my chances are at the top 5 would be helpful.

Thanks in advance!

Don't retake the GMAT. That is an fine score and close to the average at the top schools. Please see "The GMAT in MBA Admissions: Fact and Fiction."
