Currently marketing and earning royalties on those products aside from working full-time Want to focus on marketing and entrepreneurship Strong essays with clear description of why b-school, why marketing, and why now Justification for a low GMAT score Solid community service Foreign work experience and well-traveled in general
Interview My interview was with an Adcom member. It was very conversational and very relaxing. I was asked a lot of the application essay questions as well as why Simon is the best fit for me. In addition, I was asked for examples where I had demonstrated leadership skills and team work. Strengths and weaknesses were asked. Finally, there was a question about if you get accepted at every school you have applied; which one would you choose and why (have a good answer for this one). I also received 40k in scholarship and I am hoping to get more $ by participating in Case Competitions during the scholarship weekend.
Hope this helps!
Good Luck to all of you! Congratulations on the admit. In which round did you apply and when were you interviewed? I applied for the Jan5th deadline (I am guessing that is R2). I submitted my app on Jan2nd and received my interview invite on the 7th. Interviewed on the 14th and admissions offer on the 22nd.

Arory, Ask the school directly, or if possible, for the contact of a current student so you can probably get better info than from me. Also, you could ask on twitter @simonschool https://twitter.com/SimonSchool, if you have a twitter account.

When will adcom send offers to R2 applicants? I hope they release the decisions soon.

confused between a 50 % scholarship from simon and a 100 % waiver + stipend from another university...i'll have atleast $40k less to pay if i take the latter option. the second school has a better ranking in BW and economist...super confused!!!

Why are you confused if the second school is better ranked and is offering you more $? I understand if you are interested in finance and the second school is not known in the finance field.

Actually the conundrum is that though the other school is ranked above simon, I guess simon has a better overall rep.. but the fee difference of $40k is huge..

So I'm wondering here, how many posters here were invited to apply at Simon (through the preferred candidate mail)?

maverick084 wrote: TCU Neeley If your looking to get into finance then Simon has a strong finance program. That being said, the finance market is going down so expect a hard time landing a job. Neely also has a decent finance program, and similar to Simon is situated in a smallish city. Up to you really, but I'd go with full tuition. Goes without saying, but if you get into Owen, go for that
