Simon vs Schulich [#permalink] New post 20 Apr 2012, 12:13
Hi

I have an admit from both the schools: Simon Business School(University of Rochestor) in US
and Schulich School of business (York University) in Canada.
Simons fees is 95K USD, Schulich is 60k CAD

So I want help in decideing between the two mainly on the following parameters:
1)US vs Canada
2) Brand value
3) Placements for internatinal students
4) ROI
5)career opportunities.

Any sugeestions would help

Thanks

This should be posted in the peer review forum,

For my recommendation, It depends on where you want to work tbh, if you would like to stay in Canada then Schulich would be the better choice. Both schools are good regional schools and have corporate ties to their respective regions.

For Career opportunities you should check out their employment reports but I believe they both offer similar opportunities in the regions they serve.

I believe both schools average starting salary out of BSchool are quite close so ROI would be better at Schulich.

Also if you end up working in Canada post degree, Visa requirements are much less stringent and the possibility to immigrate if you choose is a good possibility.

Good luck on your decision.
