There is a mistake in question stem. I have corrected it below.

For May:
Lowest value: 4500
Range: 15000
Highest value 15000+4500=19,500

For June:
Lowest value: 6100
Range: 16500
Highest value 16500+6100=22,600

For May and June
Lowest Value: 4500
Highest Value: 22,600
Range: 22,600-4500=18,100

for 10 cars - 16000+ 6100 = 22,100
for 15 cars - 15000+ 4500 = 19,500

max = 22,100 min 4500

answer is approx 17600.
Option D is closest.

The question is having a typo, please see here :

http://www.manhattangmat.com/forums/vie ... &view=next

I too got 17600 as answer.

Max value in June = 15000 + 4500 = 19500

Max value in June = 16000 + 6100 = 22100

So range = 22100 - 4500 = 17600
