B,C and E are easily out. In D we have the subjunctive mood. I don't think it is correct for this sentence.

i'm confused ... why "because" and not "due to" in this case ,

in this scenario i think "due to" is more appropriate than "because" ...that makes D as the correct one as E is not correct ... but in D "will" is missing ... so confused

Hey Buddy,I recently read somewhere that to avoid the confusion b/w 'due to' and 'becuse of' try substituting 'due to' with 'caused by'.If the sentence makes sense with this ,go for 'due to' else use 'because of'. I hope this helps you .

here they say that the OA is D, not A!

no, it's D

"will" is not necessary as the correct construction is predict + subjunctive, I know it's not the way you'd normally say it but GMAT writers love the subjuntive mood, be aware of it

Also, "due to" is rightly used in D. "due to" is used in the sense of 'can be attributed to"
