I chose C for concision.

I found B wordy, not sure if B should be chosen only for parellalism :?

A is wrong because it is modifying the whole "airplanes with frictionless wings". You only want wings to be modified, hence B. C is wrong because the structure needs to have either adverbs (smoothly) or the phrase "to be"
