In R1, the interviews started going out about 6 weeks after the deadline (Oct 24th was the deadline and we heard of the first invites in the beginning of December). I am not sure if the timeline is the same for R2 though.

Why Sloan? 6) My questions to him. I think I was the last I had mine at Jan 18th, 4pm in San Francisco and the interviewer was getting ready to head back to Boston right after. I saw 2 names before mine at the McKinsey sign in sheet with "Sloan" in one of the columns (interview was at McKinsey office).. you must be one of them? As far as the interview, ours became very conversational right off the bat. All the questions were products of the answers to previous questions. It started with updates to the resume, then clarification on my work (i'm an engineer), then into some behavioral type questions, same as the ones I've quoted above. we ended with Why MBA, then questions for him.

Not everyone gets phone calls (dunno why) so don't freak out.
An older classmate told me that her email came around 6pm ET the year she applied.
In other words, Sloan is notoriously late in the day...at least historically. How long does it take for your interview after your application?

I thought they only told you on D Day... the 29th... or is there a high possibility they will spread them out between monday and tuesday?? So nerve wracking!!! so it sounds mixed. some people get a phone call first while others get an email... purpleshirt wrote: good luck everyone over these next two nerve-racking days! Sorry if I wasn't clear. ALL accept/dings/WL will be communicated on the promised date. Just don't have high hopes that it will happen by 5pm! That's all I was trying to say. They most likely will not spread them out between Monday/Tuesday. mbaBoston2012 wrote: I thought they only told you on D Day... the 29th... or is there a high possibility they will spread them out between monday and tuesday?? They made it very clear to me after I interviewed that they would notify EVERYONE on January 29th after 5pm. You will not get a call today and you will not get a call tomorrow before 5pm. We all just have to chill until then. purpleshirt wrote: Sorry if I wasn't clear. ALL accept/dings/WL will be communicated on the promised date. Just don't have high hopes that it will happen by 5pm!
