Good luck to all those who've already received/are waiting to receive their invites, and to those who've got the 'other' letter - don't lose hope.I don't mean this as a cliche, but keep trying, and eventually you will get into the school/schools that deserve to have you in them!

In completely unrelated news - MIT Sloan insists on bombarding me with Online Chat invites just to screw with my heart!

Cheers,

Seriously! I'm pretty sure each of those emails is taking 6mos off my life; I have like a mini heart-attack every time I see them haha. At least take the word "Admissions" out of the subject?!

didn't help that I violated one of mbaover30's major laws. Anyways, congratulations to the folks who got Admits and interview invites.. you deserve to bask in glory.

Looks like Sloan decided to over-compensate for last year's fiasco (too many admitted candidates)...

Any international applicants receive word yet? Nothing in India yet, I guess...

For what it's worth, I met one MIT alum at AdMIT Weekend. Obviously, though, I have no insight into how MIT alumni perform as a whole.

Sloan interviews ~20-25% of applicants and admits ~50-60% of interviewees.

Do you know approximately what percentage of the applicants for Round I will be invited to interview?

We typically interview about 20% of the candidates who apply.

historically acceptance rate about 13%. this year might be lower though.
