Small Business work experience [#permalink]
30 Mar 2009, 06:26
I feel something is missing in the overall discussion on these boards. What is the impact of working for a small business for my application? I am a mechanical engineer working in a 50 employee company, and I have been designing products for the food industry (conveyors, catwalks, vaulted ceilings, mechanical hydraulic machines...). How will working as an engineer in a small business be compared to someone working as an engineer at a large business?

i dont think it matters.... the quality of the work you did is what really matters..high profile work in a small firm is better than shit job in a big firm

So my work experience is heavily involved with product design (cradle to grave). I work directly under the business owner, and I am only responsible for my work (not other people). Is this a problem?
