SO I am getting better at Subject Verb Agreement by going [#permalink] New post 27 Dec 2011, 14:15
SO I am getting better at Subject Verb Agreement by going through a random book and marking off the Subjects and Verbs. I also cross out prepositional phrases. Honestly I get the grammar but I need practice to kind of internalize it. The GMAT books I am using Manhatan SC and Foundations of GMAT Verbal have only a few excercises.

Here are the things I need help with. I need to practice these but I cannot figure out a way too. Suggestions can include things outside of GMAT matierals. I have done most of the Questions in OG and the Manhattan guides.

Comparsions
Parallelism
Modifiers
Pronouns
Clarity of Meaning(I see this all over the Diagnostic and Online Question the Banks, but there is no Chapter in either of the books to reference).

for practice i will recom you to do questions category wise initially and subsequently do all kind of questions altogeather ..for e.g
If u have problem with parallelism, u may read relevant SC chapter of MGMAT SC guide, do the prac given at the end of the chapter, do the relevant OG prob(may be both og 12 n verbal) and do tons of prac specifically of Parallelism on this forum....rinse n repeat for other chapters also...once you've gained adequate proficiency...do bunch of problems of all categories.. then check if u have any problem with any particular segment out of all...hopefully u should not....however if in case u have then go over that chapter again and kill the ISSUE BY UNDERSTANDING THE CONCEPT & INGRAIN IT IN UR MIND BY DOING ADEQUATE NUMBER OF PROBS ON THAT SUBJECT....hope it helps...all d best..
