Linda,

I apologize for not providing this information earlier.

My long term MBA goal is to find funding for and manage the construction of green power plants throughout the United States and Canada. During my career as a power plant engineer I have reasearched green energy possiblities and toured many green energy facilities. These facilities reduce the strain that power production puts on the environment as well as generating large sustainable profits. With the cost of oil increasing, the Kyoto agreement, and with the United States wanting to reduce its dependancy on crude oil it is an opportune time to begin building these energy sources. I would like to specialize in Social Enterprise and Finance, both of which are required to be sucessful in this venture.

Regarding the schools I would like to attend, my preference is: cooperative, case study teaching, located in a major city center. This is what drew me to Columbia, its social enterprise program would fit with my futur plans. In addition Columbia has a green energy club, and NY State has a few green energy facilities that would help in my research.

I can post more indepth information if it would help.
Thanks for you help.
Cory

Look into Yale, Haas, Cornell (I know it's not urban), Michigan, Georgetown, and UT. Columbia is a stretch, but it's not impossible.

Linda,

Thank you very much. I knew about some of those schools but had not even looked at Yale or Georgetown.

Aren't most of these school in the reach category for me? I have read that Haas, Yale, Cornell, and Michigan are all very selective schools.

Thanks,
Cory
